Despite still battling the coronavirus pandemic, Ireland's parliament has announced that Santa Claus can travel this Christmas without having to quarantine for fourteen days  first.

Irish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Simon Coveney, says that they have been working on this issue for several months now, but their decision as a parliament was that, "Santa Claus's travels are essential travel," and need to be regarded as that.

Social distancing is still a requirement for both children and parents, he added.

Coveney also stressed that children should not stay up at night as Santa Claus will still need to maintain social distance, and that he appreciates the fact that Ireland has ensured that in a very different Christmas in 2020, the visit of Santa Claus will be something that will remain consistent.

Do you think Father Christmas will be allowed into South African airspace this year? Let's hope so!
