Misty Wolf from Texas in the US took her son Matthew to meet Santa Claus at the Cabela’s sporting goods store and shared her magical experience on Facebook.

When the mom of two walked into the store there was no queue and she explained her son’s condition to Santa, USA Today reports.

“I whispered to Santa, ‘He’s blind and autistic and is very interested in Santa’,” Misty wrote.

“He said, ‘Say no more’ and immediately got down on the floor to greet my little man.

“He talked to Matthew for a long time. Let him feel all over him. Told him to pull his beard, feel his hat and talked about his red suit.

“He asked Matthew if he wanted to feel anything and Matthew said, ‘Your eyes that twinkle’ (from the poem ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas) so Santa let him touch all over his eyes for as long as Matthew wanted.

“Then Santa said, ‘Have you ever felt a real reindeer?’ Santa then carried him over to the display area. And had Matthew pet the taxidermy reindeer they’d set up.

“It was great. My heart was full seeing Matthew so interested.”

Misty told People that the special interaction lasted for around 10 minutes.

“He was so gentle. He touched Matthew’s hands, and usually [Matthew] would pull away, but [Santa] explained who he was . . . in such good detail and had Matthew intrigued from the start.

“A full conversation was going on instantly. Santa had his trust from the moment he touched him,” she said.

Misty said the experience left her feeling emotional.

“It was like seeing Matthew see Santa,” she told 9&10 News.

“It was definitely a moment when I was all teared up... Santa is the magic of Christmas.”

The Facebook post has since garnered more than 190 000 likes.
