At some point, many girls have dreamed of owning a Barbie doll, but that wasn't enough for Alicia Amira — she wanted to be Barbie
The 33-year-old Swede has spent years and £100 000 (R2,3 million) trying to achieve her dream of physically turning into a Barbie doll. She has had face filters, rhinoplasty, breast implants, laser liposuction, nail extensions and Botox.
“I’ve erased who I used to be in order to become a plastic bimbo,” she says.
And sadly she still isn't satisfied.

Since she was nine, Alicia has been obsessed with the idea of becoming Barbie, who is played by Australian actress Margot Robbie in the live-action movie.
Alicia used to work in public relations, but decided to quit her job and move to London where she began fulfilling her dream of transforming into a real-life doll. But it soon started to go pear-shaped.
After her first breast enlargement she caught an infection and in 2017 she appeared on Botched, an American reality show that focused on helping people who had plastic surgery gone wrong.
But this didn't put her off having more surgery.

On the show she discussed with plastic surgeons the other work she wanted to have done – a Brazilian butt lift, a rib removal to create a slimmer waist and even bigger breasts.
“At one point I even thought about sewing my fingers together because that would create like a doll hand,” she said at the time. “I don’t know how that would work.”
Six years later she’s still at it and says she has no plans of stopping because it’s "addictive".
“There is no perfection in my mind. It’s just a matter of growing and evolving, and every year, you become more and more plastic.”
The OnlyFans model claims she spends about £3 000 (over R69 000) a month to maintain her look.
She says she's tired of being judged and wants people to realise there's a real person underneath it all.
“When you look this way there are so many preconceived notions of what you’re like. I want people to know about me. There is more to me than what meets the eye,” Alicia says.
