Jocelyn Wildenstein, better known as Catwoman, has slammed the widely held belief that her rather distinctive feline facial features are the result of a lifetime of plastic surgery.

In a post on social media, the 82-year-old shared a snapshot of herself at 15 – as apparent proof that she’s never gone under the knife – while accusing people of Photoshopping her images for years to change her appearance.

"#tbt that’s me #jocelynwildenstein at ballet classes in Switzerland at 15 years old - so maybe you should stop speculating on my image! Press stop! Stop please and stop photoshopping my images because you are all wrong,” she wrote.

She hinted that she will be appearing on the big screen soon, adding, “You will be able to watch the true image of me very soon on screen [sic].”

Five years ago, the Swiss-born socialite, who's also known as The Bride of Wildenstein, made similar claims in an interview.

She was asked by DailyMailTV if she'd had plastic surgery and said no, she'd been ageing naturally.

“When we look back at my pictures  I think of course I am maybe more beautiful. When we are young there’s a certain freshness we lose with the years. But you still find the same eyes, same high cheeks, or same nose. I think I was more pretty.”

And her fiancé, French fashion designer Lloyd Klein (55), agrees, saying he “does not understand the whole press and the Catwoman thing because she has always looked like that".

‘Jocelyn is beautiful, she’s magical. The first time I met her, I was almost mesmerized by the beauty, the eyes, the personality’

“She never really did anything to change her face. I have pictures from 16 years old where she looks exactly the same as today.”

Jocelyn is often held up as an example of how too much plastic surgery can drastically distort a person's features.

She has, however, admitted spending millions, about 20 years ago, for surgery to make her eyes look more cat-like.

Jocelyn has made plenty of headlines over the years, starting with her high-profile divorce in 1999, from billionaire art dealer and businessman Alec Wildenstein, which saw her getting a $2,5-billion settlement.

The judge ordered that she could not use any alimony payments for cosmetic surgery.

By 2018 she had filed for bankruptcy, largely due to her lavish lifestyle.

She once said that her annual phone bill came to $60 000 (R1.1 million) and food and wine cost her $547 000 (R10 million) a year.ve

She and Lloyd, who’ve been dating on and off since 2003, have also had a rocky relationship which has, at times, made headlines.

In 2017 the cops were called to their apartment in Trump Towers in New York over a domestic dispute at 1am.

She claims they were cooking and a pan overheated and shattered. They started arguing before things turned physical, leaving Lloyd with a gash on his forehead and Jocelyn with bruises on her neck and arms.

They were both charged with misdemeanor assault.
