Nothing but breast
Some babies will not drink anything but breast milk straight from the source, but what can you do?

If you are a working mom then at some stage or another you are to have to leave your baby and go back to work. This will mean that your baby will have to drink from a bottle and not directly from you. What if your baby refuses to drink from a bottle though?
This is exactly the
dilemma that this mom is struck with.
She refuses...Hi there.
My little girl is now 4 months old and I recently I started to work. Here's my problem. My little one refuses to take the bottle, she waits until I get home to have breast.
I express my milk but no luck. I've been trying to put her on a bottle for the last 2 months without luck. I am so worried as her last feed is at 6am and I get home around 6pm. She's currently staying with my mom but she has no success in feeding. PLEASE HELP!

Hi Talita
This is a very
difficult one and is the reason I encourage moms to introduce a bottle
at least for an occasional feed by 6 weeks.
Try these options:
- Express
milk so that the taste of the milk in the bottle is the same as her
usual feeds.
- Try a Curity teat – for some reason babies take to this
teat with greater ease than others.
- Otherwise, use a cup that she can
lap the milk from.
Good luck!
