2018 has been Cardi B's year: not only has the Insta-celeb-turned-rap-superstar broken several music chart records, beating out huge names like Beyoncé and Taylor Swift, the rapper has also just become a first-time mom.

Kulture Kiari Cephus was born 10 July and is Cardi's first baby with fellow rapper and husband, Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus).

In typical Cardi B style, the entertainer has been super vocal about life as a parent, and it's clear that she's taking to the role.

From huge changes like cancelling her tour dates on the Bruno Mars 24K Magic tour, one she had already signed up for prior to becoming a mother, to surprising ones like opting not to hire a nanny, and tinier ones like finally trimming her talons.

Cardi is known for many things and her nails have always been as signature as her hilarious one-liners.

So when she shares that she would be changing the shape of her nails, you know she's taking the parenting game seriously. She did joke that she might keep one nail long so she could clean her baby's nose...

Did you start wearing your nails shorter when you became a mother? How do you clean your baby's nose? Tells us by emailing to chatback@parent24.com and we could publish your letter. Do let us know if you'd like to stay anonymous.

Reactions ranged from cheers, advice giving and some disappointment from fans.

Since Cardi is notorious for keeping it (too) real on social media, we'll be keeping an eye on what she shares next.
