Jenelle Wexler, from Illinois in the US, was looking for a way to honour the great women of history – and after giving it some thought, she found an amazingly creative way to do just that.

Jenelle enjoys sewing together thrift-finds into adorable teeny outfits for her four-month-old baby girl, Liberty Jaine Wexler, so she can look like inspiring women who have had an impact on world history, Metro reports.

Then the mom of two takes photographs of the tot and posts them on her social-media accounts.

From Mexican artist Frida Kahlo to legendary Egyptian ruler Cleopatra and modern-day human-rigths activist Malala Yousafzai – this infant has been garbed in outfits representing women of all faiths, cultures and colours who have left their mark on this world.

“I began thinking of influential women who should be celebrated,” Jenelle said. “I first came up with the idea to shoot Liberty as Frida Kahlo as I thought the two had similar physical features.

“The shots came out wonderfully, and it was soon after that I thought about other women in history that have contributed to the betterment of women and people as a whole,” she adds.

Jenelle further notes that she’s always had a love for photography and would often take photographs of her now two-year-old son, River, and capture her vacations with her husband, Jonathan, through the eye of her lens, Today reports.

So far she’s dressed her little girl as 34 different inspiring women and plans on doing more.

“I feel it’s important to try and keep the types of traits these women portrayed,” she says.

“It exemplifies accomplishment through intellect, courage, athletic ability, and a multitude of traits I hope I can teach my children.”
