A viral video showing a dancing dad and his adorable baby is doing the rounds on social media, and the internet cannot stop singing the praises of this brilliant dad.

At first, it just seems like he is trying to make his baby laugh, but it becomes clear that we're actually watching a type of musical chairs game, and baby is all too aware of the rules.

As he dances, we hear him making his own little tune, saying stop every now and again, and baby follows along exactly - dancing and stopping along with dad.

Watch the sweet video below:

"So cute! This is a wonderful way to engage babies when they are so young! Outstanding daddy!"

This praise was seconded by another fan, who said: "What a great dad having fun with his child. Understanding stop at such an early age that's brilliant."

Others couldn't get enough of the little one.

"How sweet. That baby has got a great sense of timing and gets the whole game [the] dad's playing.. smart baby!"

"Amazing at an early age an infant can understand instructions and fun at the same time even imitating the word "stop"."

Beyond the lesson, many just found the video too adorable with one person commenting how much they loved the giggling baby's laugh.

"The baby is so happy and engaged. Fantastic. This video has truly put a smile on my face."

Another commenter explained why the dancing game was so beneficial.

"Just beautiful! It's called 'mirroring', and it demonstrates how our babies absorb what we convey. More importantly, it has a huge impact on brain development in terms of attachment and intellect."
