Every year-end, Google tells us what we've been doing online with the 525 600 minutes of the nearly-completed year with its Year In Search

The all too revealing data provides a map of global and local trends, from the top trending searches (in South Africa, this was Load shedding - insert annoyed eye roll here) to top trending questions (in 2019, South Africans most wanted to know why cornflakes were invented).

Globally, Google reported that the most searched for term had been 'India vs South Africa', the most searched news item in the world was Copa América, and (surprising no one), the most searched for TV Show, was Game of Thrones.

But since this is a parenting website, we'd like to turn your attention to the most Googled babies of 2019.

With the exception of the odd fictional baby or two, the most Googled babies list was undoubtedly the result of massive interest in the famous parents who welcomed their bundles in the past year.

Taken from American Google statistics, here's a round-up of which babies proved most popular in 2019.

10. 'Hoda Kotb baby'

Today show co-host, Hoda Kotb, landed in 10th place on the list, with the search term 'Hoda Kotb baby'.

The American TV personality adopted her second child, Hope Catherine Kotb, in April 2019, announcing the news via a telephone interview with her co-hosts

9. 'Amy Schumer baby'

The self-professed Meghan Markle nemesis, Amy Schumer might be chuffed to find her baby was 9th most popular this year.

Amy Schumer baby, better known as Gene Attell Fischer, was born 5 May 2019, a day before another famous baby also on this list.

8. 'Shawn Johnson baby'

American vloggers Shawn Johnson and Andrew East, welcomed their baby girl, Drew Hazel East, this past October.

Their YouTube channel, The East Family, boasts more than 98 million views, and the story of their daughter's birth was viewed nearly 2 million times.

7. 'Andy Cohen baby'

American Talk show host, Andy Cohen, welcomed his first child, son Benjamin Allen, in February this year via a surrogate,

In addition to his inclusion on this list, baby Benjamin was also named PEOPLE’s Cutest Baby Alive

6. 'Trey Songz baby'

Singer, Trey Songz (AKA Tremaine Aldon Neverson) shocked the internet when he shared an image of his first child, son Noah via Instagram in April.

Captioning the picture, "My son Noah," the announcement was the first time the singer had mentioned baby news.

5. 'Cardi B baby'

Born in July 2018, Kulture Kiari Cephus remains as popular as ever.

The daughter of rappers Cardi B (Belcalis Almanzar) and Offset (Kiari Kendrell Cephus) is the only baby not born in 2019 to be featured on the top 10 list.

4. 'Kim Kardashian Kanye West baby'

The Kardashian West family hasn't stopped growing since 2013, with their youngest son, Psalm, arriving in May 2019.

The now 7-month-old may also be the reason for one of the most Googled questions in the US this past year, 'how to pronounce Psalm'.

3. 'Royal baby'

Royal baby Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor is the most popular human (it'll make sense in a second) baby of 2019.

Born 6 May (the day of 'Amy Schumer baby', Gene) this year, the adorable Archie has already followed in his mom's footsteps, given that Meghan Markle was the most googled person of 2018

2. 'Baby Shark'

It's made history as "the most-viewed trend of all time in YouTube's 'Education' category," so it comes as somewhat of a surprise to find that Baby Shark is only the second most popular baby of 2019.

First uploaded to YouTube via the Pinkfong! Kids' Songs & Stories channel in 2016, the song, according to Wiki, "garnered around 5 billion views as of January 2019."

1. 'Baby Yoda'

He's been a beloved character for nearly 40 years now, so when Disney+ debuted an adorable Yoda-like character on its Star Wars series, the Mandalorian, the internet lost its mind.

Dubbed the Child in the series, the character is not the actual baby version of the fictional Yoda, or even a baby for that matter (the Child is supposedly 50 in "Yoda years").

Clearly not bothered with silly things like details, the Google users have spoken, and Baby Yoda is the official most Googled baby of 2019.
