In 1974, photographer Jack Bradley managed to capture the exact moment 5-year-old Harold Whittles heard sound for the very first time.
Born deaf, the expression of amazement on the young boy's face proved remarkable enough for the photograph to be featured in a 1974 Reader's Digest article entitled "Unforgettable moments caught on film."
Fast forward 45 years, and unforgettable moments caught on camera are in no short supply.
With the ease of access technology provides, it's easy to forget how privileged we are to be able to witness miraculous moments like the incredible image below:
