“I’m sorry for keeping you in the dark through all the assumptions. I understand you’re used to me bringing you along on all my journeys. My pregnancy was one I chose not to do in front of the world. I knew for myself I needed to prepare for this role of a lifetime,” explained Kylie with a post on Instagram, finally confirming her pregnancy with the news that on 1 February she welcomed her “beautiful and healthy baby girl”.

She continues, “Pregnancy has been the most beautiful, empowering, and life-changing experience I’ve had in my entire life and I’m actually going to miss it.

“I’ve never felt love and happiness like this. I could burst!”

The press has been speculating about the pregnancy for a while as Kylie has made an effort to stay out of the spotlight and when she did step out in public she made sure to wear sweatpants and hoodies – a very different look for the Kardashian-Jenner family. Kylie also didn’t feature in any family Christmas videos and pictures and only made an appearance in the latest Calvin Klein “Our Family” campaign (and featured as the only sister whose belly was covered by a blanket in every shot, of course).

But the reality TV star and beauty mogul explained in the post that she wanted to do what’s best for herself and her baby and have a stress-free pregnancy out of the spotlight.

She did, however, document her entire journey and compile footage of her pregnancy with boyfriend Travis Scott, best friend Jordyn Woods and her entire family, including little Chicago West.

Here is the video titled, “To our daughter”, welcoming, at 3.9kg, Kylie’s “little life”.
