The owners of a day care centre in the US have come under fire from parents after posting pictures of a 2-year-old boy online with the warning, "Beware of this kid. He bites", according to the Daily Mail. The same owners also allegedly sent a "death wish" to another mom.
Your kid, the "dog"
The online outing of the toddler came after he had been thrown out of the Tiny Tots crèche for allegedly biting another child. The child’s mom had reportedly complained about the food, and suspected that the expulsion was in retaliation.
After the tot was thrown out, his mom left messages online stating her disappointment in the centre, who then posted the offending picture on Craigslist, purportedly to warn other day care operators that "the child is a biter." Not content with the online assault, the day care owner also allegedly sent the kid’s mom a text stating "your kid is a dog and he keeps biting."
"I hope you die…"
As if that’s not enough, the day care owners also attacked another mom whom they suspected of posting unflattering comments online with a shocking email, which, according to the mom, stated: "I hope you die and your kid" (sic).
No formal complaint against the owners is currently being investigated.
A day care centre is obligated by law in SA to write up incidents such as biting in an incident book. Biting is not an unusual occurrence, although it may have serious consequences. Always ensure your child's day care adheres to government regulations.
