Can you parent without rules?
Actress Jada Pinkett Smith says her children don’t have rules. But is it really possible to negotiate everything?

When your teenage son is an actor and your 10-year-old daughter is a pop star, normal family life may be hard to sustain. But Will and Jada Pinkett Smith don’t follow conventional parenting theories.

‘We don't have rules. We come up with agreements. Kids are little people, and we're in life to guide them. Trying to rule someone is always an illusion, and it's no different with children,’ the actress told BangShowbiz.

Jada admits to being really angry when her daughter started using a social network when she’d been ‘advised’ not to. ‘I told her not to, so I was so mad,’ she said. She then let her daughter suggest her own consequences.
