You may think that board games are only good for learning how to roll a dice or count out Monopoly money. This dad disagrees.

Former Google programmer, Dan Shapiro, wanted to share his love for creating with his daughters but he didn't want them to spend all of their time in front of a computer screen.

Dan decided to create something that not only his daughter's could enjoy, but any young child. Plus it meant teaching his girls something he loves while being able to spend quality time with them.

Presenting Robot Turtles. A board game that "sneakily" teaches the fundamentals of programming to children as young as 3 years old. Dan started a KickStarter campaign for Robot Turtles with a goal of only $25 000. His expectations were blown out of the water when many parents with a passion for coding literacy kept donating and his campaign ended having made $630 000!

It holds the title as most-funded boardgame in Kickstarter history. Amazing!

How does it work?
