Young stars of YouTube and Instagram

accreditation

When and how did children as young as two become superstars?

Social media may have had something to do with it.

We've rounded up a list of kiddos changing the fame game, achieving immense popularity with their humour, creativity and cuteness factor (yes that's a thing) across YouTube and Instagram.

Here are a few of the kids taking over our social feeds

Ava Ryan

Ava Ryan is only 7-years-old but her comedic timing is on another level.

She's been creating hilarious characters since she was two but since her portrayal of the zany "Hot Mess" in the video below, Ava's gone viral, reaching millions across YouTube and Instagram

It's been two years since then and the junior jockey now plays alongside local and international talent, closing last year's South African Film and Television Awards, as well as being a major attraction at the 2016 Back to the Old Skool concert, which also featured global act DJ Roger Sanchez.

She's only 3 years old, and for a toddler she's got mad skills.

Scout Penelope

Scout Penelope is the cute-as-a-button tot who's Instagram account, managed by mom Ashley Larson, has a following of more than 70 000.

Styled by her mother, Scout is not only a mini-fashionista but also a master of dress-up, perfectly matching the looks of her heroes, from Hollywood stars and movie characters to her grandma Diane Willoughby – who survived a grueling battle with cancer at 57

She's just too precious.

Fashion By Mayhem

Already a New York Fashion Week regular, Sydney Keiser, who goes by the name Mayhem on her mother's Instagram account, is a 4-year-old designer whose red carpet replicas (like the one below) have gained her not only 439 000 followers but also a clothing collection with the major brand J.Crew.

Mr. Cory

Cory Nieves went from selling hot chocolate to help his mother save for a car to launching an incredibly successful cookie company — Mr. Cory's Cookies — all by the age of 6.

His Instagram account has more than 30 000 followers, and that's just the tip of the iceberg for this young mogul with a killer sense of style, and a personality sweet as pie.

He's been featured on the American TV show MasterChef Junior, and at 12 scored a spot on Fortune Magazine's 18 Under 18, a list of inspiring entrepreneurs still in the throws of adolescence.
