5 morning time savers
Some tips to help you get out the door faster in the mornings.
In most homes, mornings are a mix of finding the lost shoe and throwing together a quick sarmie before dashing out the door - while making sure that you have all of the kids. Follow these 5 simple tips for making mornings more manageable.

1. Get ahead on lunch

Prepare and pack everyone’s lunches the night before and label them accordingly so it will be a quick grab before leaving. Also, if you have a coffee machine do the prep the night before so all you have to do is press the on button.

2.  Plan your outfit

Make sure every one’s school uniforms are ironed, hung out and ready to be put on. Same for you; pick out your outfit the night before and you’ll save precious minutes in the morning.

3.  Get yourself sorted first

Make sure you get up and get done before the kids add chaos to the mix. That way you won’t be trying to get yourself organised as well as the kids. And life will be just a little bit more sane.

4. Share the tasks – get the kids involved

Make sure each person is responsible for something big: breakfast, handing out lunches, getting the kids ready (or getting themselves ready) etc. It’s easier when you don’t have to do everything yourself.

5. Have a routine

Depending on what type of person you are, having to get ready when you’ve just woken up isn’t always ideal. So develop a routine because sometimes running on autopilot gets things done.
