Hungry for one last one was me at 39 and promptly went off the 2 month injection I had been having as contraceptive for the past 10 years . Most friends would have considered me mad, insane and quite off the track . I have 3 children now aged 24 , 20 and 14 - girls and a boy nogal .
Well six months later i started having severe hot flashes which led me to my GP . He recommended blood tests to check my hormone levels . When the test results came back he called to tell me that all my important hormone levels were low and that i was indeed in peri-menopause . Now 4 years later I'm still battling with hair loss, dry skin , dangerous moods and hot flashes but am grateful for the kids and i have and my wonderful ,understanding and patient husband . God has obviously decided what my next phase in life will be and for that I am grateful and satisfied.
