Inspired by my mom

The woman who inspired me... was my mother.

My Mother was a very humble and gracious lady and who was also very kind. I can’t say that I ever heard her say a nasty word about anyone.

If she heard someone talking nasty about someone else she would always encourage them by saying ‘rather give them the benefit of the doubt’.

When I remember these words I found that I wouldn’t say anything bad at all but instead offer words of encouragement and love.

Of course it’s not easy to always do this but I tell you when you do it this way it always leaves you with a real good-living feeling.

My Mother was not a worldly lady by any means especially with knowing the tricks of the world, living the high life or wearing the latest fashion but she knew how to treat people with respect and with love. Her encouragement of wise words uplifted any troubled person.

My Mother would always sit at the diningroom table where we chat and laugh.  Her small delicate hands would always offer you a cup of coffee, definitely not the best premium brand of coffees but it wasn’t about the cup of coffee that we shared but the time talking and sharing each other’s memories and dreams.  Her silver grey hair was always combed neatly and her wrinkles developed with time and age but her hazel eyes always shined with love.

My Mother died almost 10 years ago and I still miss her everyday.
