My best advice to new moms
Some good advice to first time moms.

I’m a firm believer that some mothers are born (the automatic “motherly” type) and some mothers, like me, are made at the time of the birth of their children…with lots of help and a few frantic calls to doctors – using books and baby magazines and google, I finally managed to get my daughter through the first 2 years of her life pretty much unscathed ….

The best piece of advice that carried me through most of this though, was someone (cannot even remember who) said to me : “stop stressing so much about doing the “right” thing : just as you’ve never had a baby, she’s never had a mother to compare you to – so all you will do for her is the best as she knows nothing else : she’s not sitting there with a score sheet marking you, nor is she taking note to report back ! – just do the best you can and it will be the best for her”
Thanks ! I now tell (those who ask) this to my friends…never a truer word was said
