I had an appointment with my gynae on the 29th of Feb at 3 the afternoon as it was my second child I told him that I feel like I’m in labour he said that the baby is not even in position, I had gastro and therefore accepted it.
The pain was getting worse, but then too was the diarrhoea, again I reminded myself that the doctor said that the baby is not even in position. Before I knew it was 11 o clock the evening. I took a bath, a shower and then took a bath once more. I paced the room, reminding myself that the baby is not even in position.
At 11h45 the pain was unbearable, I said to my husband that I am dying and that he must take me to the hospital. I was in hospital dripping wet from head to toe, telling the nurse that I needed to go to the toilet. She said that I first needed to be examined. The head was there, the doctor arrived!!!
5 minutes later Nabeeha was born……thank heavens it was 1 March….my baby missed being a leap year baby…Mommy saved the day (or my girls birthday for that matter) once again…I loved her so much, like they say the pain was forgotten the moment I looked into her beautiful face…
Thanking you,
Aysha
