My daughter was born in 2000. On her 1st birthday, I resigned from work to spend her first milestone years with her.
It was the best decision ever! I thoroughly enjoyed our year at home together and on her 2nd birthday, I found new employment. She will be turning 12 in April and I just found out that I will be retrenched next month.
It is going to be such an opportunity to spend her last year of primary school at home with her. Just to be there for her when she reaches home after school! This will be such a blessing to me. Sometimes, we can’t always predict our path in life and it’s the small changes that help us to benefit so much.
