Trying to raise honourable kids

Readers respond to Ban the Smack! by Scott Dunlop.

I think the Government should focus on more serious issues and sort out their own problems before trying to issue policies on parents who are trying to raise honourable kids. Sometimes a smack on the buttocks is necessary. I don't care what policy is passed I have a right to determine how to raise my kids. Our jails are at maximum capacity because of governments in ability to discipline correctly and govern.

Sort out your own mess before you try tell honest hard working parents how to bring up their kids. Take away the hiding and crime will increase. The bible has it for a reason. But obviously in moderation.

Child abuse takes it passed this point. I got hidings and so did many others. Amazing how many of the kids that didn't get a smack are problems today. The disciplined ones tow the line.

It's also amazing how many of the people who are trying to pass this law are either on medication or are dysfunctional or have kids of their own who are being medicated. This is a form of child abuse. Drugging a child to tow the line is a subtle way of malicious damage to a child's physical and mental ability. Too many kids in the schools are being placed on Ritalin or some derivative thereof to keep the kids in control.

Stop drugging the kids.

And allow us to raise our own kids.
