Cape Town gaming groups have joined forces to launch a unified event to raise awareness for eSports and local charity.
This will be the first ever eSports gaming event and funds will go towards a local non-profit organisation, Heavenly Promise.
The Gaming4Charity Event will be held in the SunExhibits Centre at GrandWest Casino & Entertainment World, on 5 & 6 March 2016.
Highlights
- GoodHopeFM will be airing live from the event!
- DJ Ready D and the Dr1ft Squad will be showcasing their personal drift cars. In addition 10 lucky attendees stand to win an exclusive Drift Experience with Ready D and the Dr1ft Squad!
- Players in the 24 Hour #CharityEnduro on Project Cars will attempt to break the current Guinness World Record for a console endurance race!
- eSports tournaments and a 100-seat LAN will be available all day. The cash prize tournaments on offer will include Fifa 16, Counter Strike GO, Halo, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm and more.
- For casual gamers there will be free-to-play mobile games, PS4 game stations, PSP Vita stations, old-school arcade games, and pinball machines.
- Random prize draws and spot competitions will be held every few hours with cool prizes and give-aways as a Thank You to attendees for their support.
