Fun in the City:

19 November - Universal Children's Day is being celebrated with a special edition of City Walk Saturday which aims to show Capetonians what it would look like if we came together to create a child-friendly city. Bring a picnic blanket and make a day of it!

Cirque Eloize iD

This is a high-energy blend of circus acrobatics and urban dance, perfect for kids aged 6 and up. It's opening this week at the Artscape Theatre, 16 to 27 November.  Tickets are selling fast!

Open Streets Bellville

Voortrekker road will be closed to traffic and dedicated to the people to dance, play, cycle, skate, explore, connect and showcase projects in the transformed space. It takes place on 20 November. For more information click here.

Streetopia

26 November sees the second annual community-based fundraising event for Afrikaburn, in which the village green is filled with art, sculptures, mutant vehicles, performance, music and market stalls. Read more here.

Wavescape

Much of the annual festival takes place in the late evening, but there is a great deal for teens to enjoy. The screening at Clifton Beach on 3 December is free, and two of the thought-leaders speaking on Slide Night on 6 December are just 13-years-old. The festival culminates in a Beach Reach day for kids on 10 December. It's inspiration for all ages!
