"Love... the perfect gift for any mother on this and everyday. A gift she gives just as proudly."
"Love... the perfect gift for any mother on this and everyday. A gift she gives just as proudly."

She's an inspiration to many young South African women, especially young moms, and has a serious reputation for being a no-nonsense personality. She sure is as bad ass at parenting, too.

If you follow her on social media, you might have seen pictures of Pearl Thusi with a little girl that could easily be mistaken for her daughter, Thandolwethu.

We have reason to believe that she could have adopted the little girl, but Pearl has always been protective of her private life, and hasn't quite shared whether or not this is true.

Regardless, fans are loving her adorable little girl, Okuhle. Showing their love in a recent Instagram posts one fan wrote; "Pearl and her daughters make me broody all the time". And we understand why.

Let's take it back to where it all started

Back in 2010, Pearl Thusi shared about her desire to adopt not one but many children.

And then...

In November 2018 while in Ghana, Pearl shared a heartfelt message alongside a picture of her and little Okuhle.

"I was suddenly having a bad day... but the show had to go on... & then God sent this angel to me." She continues, "she saw me and her eyes lit up. I smiled right back... she yanked her hand from her dad's grip, ran to me and gave me the biggest hug. It was more than what I needed..."

Just recently, Pearl brought her two girls along with her on set and fans were in awe of her expanded family. Raving about how much Okuhle resembles her big sister, Thandolwethu.

Mama bear

In the image below, Pearl made it clear that she's a single mom and loving it, adding the caption: "We decided we didn’t need a papa bear... Family portraits aren’t specific. Not anymore. And that’s something to be proud of. This is ours. And it’s beautiful."

"I believe every child deserves love"

Her caption on being a mother adds more fuel to the adoption speculation.

She wrote, “Mothers are like heroes… They’re not only born. They can also become. Be made. Not only by blood, but by love. By kindness. Bravery. Compassion. As an African woman, I believe every child deserves love. Your nameless neighbour mothered you. And every child was watched and protected by the community. We can do so much better. Let's create a better tomorrow for every child we can…".
