It's not every day that a 10-year-old boy breaks a Guinness World Record.
For one Curtis Buddie, a run-of-the-mill dentist appointment turned him into Guinness tooth legend when it was found that his extracted baby tooth measured 2.4cm, setting a new record for the longest milk tooth.
Dubbed a "monster milk tooth" by Curtis' brother, the record-setting tooth caused quite a commotion among friends and family.
"To say this has been an exciting event for Curt and our family would be an understatement," says mom Jessica, who added that the record has made her son's year.
"Curt is in the fifth grade, and this is about the most exciting thing that has happened all year for him and his classmates," she said.
