Imagine being told by your boss that as part of your working conditions you were to ask for permission before getting pregnant? Well apparently working for the rich and famous obviously came at a price for this housekeeper.

Countess Maya von Schoenbrg, 54, ex-wife of Mercedes Benz heir Mick Flick, told her live-in housekeeper she must not get pregnant and must discuss her contraception and family planning issues with her.

According to Dailymail, Teresa Filipowska, 36,  was initially “only asked to not get pregnant in the first year,” But, she said, the Countess “continued to suggest on numerous occasions that I should discuss any family planning with her."

The socialite has been ordered to pay Miss Filipowska almost £19,000 after she successfully won a claim for unfair dismissal, sex discrimination and unpaid wages.

Furthermore she said in her witness statement: "I thought that request was not particularly appropriate as I did not see it as an employer's right to determine when I can or cannot get pregnant. "However, as we had no plans for another child at that time I agreed to this."

More than four years went by before the housekeeper did fall pregnant. She was dismissed within three days, working her last shift for the Countess in January this year.

The tribunal in Reading, Berkshire, ruled that the Countess was “intrusive” when setting the house rules, which went beyond reasonable bounds.

Have you ever been in a situation where your employer had ridiculous working conditions?
