Noah Woods, 5, from Georgia, America has been dubbed an honorary firefighter, CNN reports.

This follows after Noah awoke to flames and smoke in the bedroom he shares with his 2-year-old sister.

Instead of panicking he got out of bed, grabbed his sister and used the window to get out of the house because it was the only available exit.

It doesn't stop there.

Noah went back into the house to save the family dog.

After successfully retrieving the dog, he ran to his uncle's house next door to ask for assistance and together they informed the rest of the family about the fire.
