Piglet's Favourite Caramel Popped Acorns
Bring the fairytale's to life with this fairytale food. This sweet popcorn recipe is fun to make fun to eat - just watch out for little sticky fingers all over the furniture. It's a slightly different holiday treat that your children will enjoy, with or without Disney movies playing in the background.


6 cups Popcorn
1 tbsp Butter
1½ cup (375ml) Light brown sugar
1/3 cup (80ml) Water


1.    Place popcorn in a metal or pyrex container (not plastic) and set aside.
2.    Melt butter in a heavy-based saucepan. Add sugar and water and stir over moderate heat until dissolved. Increase heat and boil for 20 minutes (till softball stage or 120°C on a candy thermometer).
3.    Remove from heat and pour over popcorn. Stir to coat and decant onto greased wax paper or a silicone mat. Once cooled you can break the kernels apart.
