The term "blended family" is a new one, but society is well familiar with the reality of the non-traditional family structure.
And even though "blended family" has a much better ring to it than the more commonly used stepfamily, a certain stigma remains.

The video features her own clan as well as other sweet visuals of what blended families looks like, including the mother of one of her step children, Mashonda Tifrere.
Like many blended families they've had to smooth out a few rough patches but look where they are now.
The inspiring singer's family consists of both her own children with husband Kasseem Dean, a hip-hop artist and producer better known as Swizz Beatz, as well as Kasseem's children from previous relationships.
