A man lived with the ‘wrong’ family all his life and only found out the truth after his father’s uneasy feeling was proven correct.

An unnamed dad, from China, found out that his son Wang Ye (28) was not his biological son – after his confusion over his son’s handsome features.

This bizarre story unfolded when he took a DNA test after he split from Wang’s mother, Zhang.

But Zhang also suspected that something was not quite right…

“My son has big eyes and a high nose bridge, says Zhang, “His father is not very good looking and is quite different from my son.”

After Wang’s dad asked all of them to take a DNA test, it turned out that neither parent was related to their “son”.

“I still cannot believe it. After all, we have lived together for such a long time,” Wang says. “I cannot accept the fact.”

It’s alleged that they might have accidentally been handed the wrong baby when he was born in Shanghai Hospital back in 1989.

Zhang and her ex-husband are planning to sue the hospital for 1.3 million Yuan (R2,5 million) and are determined to be reunited with her biological son.

She has also vowed to help Wang find his real parents.

The Shanghai hospital is currently investigating the serious mix-up.
