Imagine having access to thousands of experienced moms and getting their advice on which products to buy and which to avoid and you'll start to get an idea of why mompreneur Shanèy Vijendranath has been added to the 2019 Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list.
After joining the parenting club at 20, Shanèy thought up the idea for MomSays, a user-friendly platform that uses the power of word-of-mouth and social media to help moms makes smart choices when buying parent-related products, a genius idea she's now being recognised for.
"Having MomSays recognised and rewarded by Forbes is an honour. I am incredibly proud of what we have built with our platform and I hope this achievement shows all moms that are entrepreneurs out there that you just need to keep at it," says a proud Shanèy, adding that she wants to share the honour with SA's mommy blogger community as well.
"This isn’t just a personal win for me, it is also a win for the mommy bloggers community in South Africa which sometimes doesn’t get the credit it deserves in the influencer space."
The Forbes Africa 30 under 30 list names 120 up and coming innovators across Africa.
Congrats to Shanèy! What a way to shine a light on just how amazing moms can be, all while raising kids in the process.
