Reader's respond to an article published on Parent24 called "Don't judge me cause my kid wears PEP clothes"
I recently had a horrible snub at a social gathering when I said my dress was bought at Ackermans. I received a compliment on a low cut floral dress that I was wearing, in response I said where I had bought it and was met with horrified looks. "I can't believe you can say that to people!" Was the response.
Can we be this fake? I buy at PEP and Ackermans not just for my three-year-old but also for myself. And can expertly match the PEP dress with Haviana slops, a Woolies bag and Prada glasses. In actual fact, I love pep, they have a great home store section (many of my "Tupperwear" I buy there.
I buy toys for my child there and buy stockings and bra's for my pensioner mom (the only place that sells size 42/44 bra's at a reasonable price!). The dress I wear the most to work, and have had the most compliments about I bought at the teenage section at PEP for just under R80 rand! Vaseline, wet wipes and coconut body lotion, earbuds and roll on I all buy at PEP. Don't judge me or my child for wearing PEP or Ackermans. My husband's an architect, and so what if I save us money by shopping around.
