Having a miscarriage is not easy. But how do you know when it's time to try again?

Losing a child during pregnancy is one of the hardest things to experience. The loss is terrible and trying to pick up and carry on again seems like a scary step.

Dear Dr Wiswedel,
I had a miscarriage on 8th May 2009. When can we try again and what are the odds of it happening again? I’m terrified that I will have another miscarriage.

Parent24’s infertility expert, Dr Wiswedel replies:
You can try immediately. There is no reason to wait. Miscarriages are common and are nature's remedy not to continue with an abnormal pregnancy. It would be unusual to have another miscarriage.

Parent24 blogger Cazzieb experienced this and got some strange and annoying reactions from the people around her. She has come through it all and has fallen pregnant again and recently started sharing the news with us and her colleagues.

Have you had a miscarriage? How long did you wait to try again?
