Symptoms:

  • Spinning sensation with nausea and sometimes vomiting.

Seriousness:

  • Prevention is the best treatment. 
  • Treat yourself.

Treatment:

  • Give your child only light, non-fatty meals before a trip and don't let her look at picture books or read in the car.
  • Teach her to focus on the horizon.
  • Open the window and let fresh air blow on her if she starts feeling nauseous.
  • Sucking on ginger-based sweets helps to sooth nausea.
