Worms
A parasitic infection in the intestines of either pinworms, threadworms or tapeworm.
Symptoms:
- Depending on what worms have infested the gut, symptoms may include colicky pain, vomiting up of worms, coughing or wheezing, loose, blood-stained stools, anaemia, itching and inflammation in the anal area.
- Sometimes small worms can be seen wriggling in the faeces.
Seriousness:
- Go to a doctor.
Treatment:
- Antiparasitic drugs will be prescribed and these will thoroughly treat the infestation.
