5 ways to access matric results

Tell us how you're feeling ahead of the matric results being released?

To be honest as a parent I'm nervous I have the same feeling which I had some 30 years ago when I was waiting for my results but on the other hand I'm positive. I'm only disappointed after reading this article that the Western Cape Government  has decided to delay the results cause the waiting is killing us.
Chester Phiri

I think they will do well.

Apprehensive and disappointed. What is supposed to prepare our kids for their future studies and careers  has turned out to not meet the necessary criteria. I cannot believe that the class of 2014 is less intelligent and not as mentally abled as the class of 2013.

Where lies the problem? Is there too big a gap between the syllabus and teaching abilities? How come the syllabus evolves and develops, but the educators get left behind? A huge percentage of matrics of 2014 attended extra Maths and Science classes due to the fact that the educators fell horribly short in transferring these skills and learnings.

Did Matric (and the educators) fail the learners of 2014 or did the learners fail Matric 0f 2014?

My daughter looks worried about tommorow.  She wrote the exam, she is waiting for the results.

I'm honestly feeling really calm and relaxed... but there is just that anxiety within I can't explain but I'm looking forward to my results. People around me are doing all the worrying for me. I'm just hoping that the amount of work I putted in the past year pays off. I wrote my exams with Jehovah on my side.
- Jono

Feeling cold, scary with headache. Can't feel my self.
Sizwe Senzo

Let me congratulate the class of 2014 for doing their best under extreme conditions.

But let me also stress that there are many educators who did not permanent in the system and this Caps system teachers were not trained properly by the department of basic education you will find that one day is given to train an educator that is not enough at all.
- Educator

I'm so happy because my son did well. Got 6 distinctions. What I'm thinking now is to make him be proud of me. I want to go to USA to study medicine.
Amukelani Godfrey

The quality of results is the issue here. Tertiary institutions are frustrating this kids with entry ratings. Most kids don't qualify (especially those with just above average) but they have passed. That leads to this kids sitting at home as they can't even re-register for grade 12 to improve their result. Waste of resources  indeed.
