The World Education Games are an international online competition that took place from the 13 - 15th October. There are 3 categories that schools compete in: Math, Literacy and Science.

The total number of registrations to compete in the 2015 World Education Games has increased by 1 Million from 5 Million in 2013 to 6 Million this year and the number of South African learners competing shot up to 86 000 from 70 000. This is according to 3P Learning CEO for Africa, Rob Masefield.

“We are ecstatic that 16 000 additional SA youths decided to join in the Games. It just shows how eager they are to learn, which of course is very good for the country’s future,” Masefield says.

South Africa scored the 14th place in the world out of the 200 countries participating, and second place after Nigeria from the 22 African nations that participated in this year’s World Education Games.
