Model and mom of two Chrissy Teigen has revealed her son is wearing a helmet for his “misshapen head”, according to Sky News.
The former Sports Illustrated model took to Instagram to share the news with her 21,1 million followers.
In the post the Lip Sync Battle co-host is sitting on the couch with six-month-old baby Miles in her arms.
“My baby bug got his head shaping helmet today! Please don't feel bad for him if you see photos. He is a happy bug and we're just fixing his flat!” she captioned the snap.
Miles has plagiocephaly and brachycephaly, commonly known as flat-head syndrome.
It’s a condition babies often get due to spending a lot of time lying on their backs. According to Cranial Technologies, the condition affects nearly one in two infants.
Helmet therapy is proven to fix the shape of a baby's head as they grow. The helmets work by directing growth from the flat spot, but they must be worn during the time when the skull (and therefore the brain) is actively growing.
Along with baby Miles, Chrissy and husband John Legend are also parents to two-year-old Luna.
