A Russian model and beauty blogger whose son was stillborn has shared her pain with her followers online by posting a touching picture of the stillborn baby.

Yana Yatskovskaya uploaded the picture to Instagram to show support to all mothers who’ve delivered a stillborn baby or lost a child.

The picture shows the 27-year-old holding the tiny body of her deceased son just after delivering him at home.

Yana said that when she was six months pregnant she decided to go on holiday to the Maldives with her husband and three-year-old daughter.

During the holiday she stopped feeling her baby’s movements and went to a local hospital.

The doctors examined her and said that the baby’s heart wasn’t beating.

Yana then went home and delivered her stillborn son. She didn’t mention whether the procedure took place in the Maldives or her home city, Moscow.

“I didn’t give my baby to anybody and nobody took him away from me,” Yana said.

“I delivered him at home and we buried him because he’s a member of our family.

“He’s become an angel and now protects our family from heaven.”

The model explained that she wanted to support all mothers who’ve lost their children by sharing the picture with her more than 790 000 Instagram followers.

“It hurts so much. All moms experiencing such incredible pain shouldn’t remain silent,” she said.

Some netizens expressed their support for the brunette beauty while others criticised her.

“Is this the new way to gain more followers? Please say no to this, give me a little hope in humanity,” one follower said.

“What a heartbreaking picture. My thoughts and support go to the poor mother. I wish you all the strength in the world to overcome your grief,” another said.
