No restaurant, no problem.

A couple have found an ingenious way to fulfil their kids’ desire to go out to eat.

Callum and Clare-Marie Macaulay found themselves struggling to explain to their little ones why they’re not allowed out of the house during lockdown due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The pair had the bright idea to bring a restaurant to their boys, the Mirror reported.

They transformed their kitchen and dining room into an at-home restaurant, with Clare-Marie taking on the role of waitress while Callum played head chef.

“So during this pandemic, Evan and Lucas wanted to go to a restaurant, they don’t quite understand why they can’t – so, the rest is history,” Callum wrote alongside a video posted to his Facebook.

“I think Clare-Marie Macaulay and I are officially losing the plot.”

In the video, the youngest members of the family come gallivanting down the garden path before being welcomed into their home restaurant by mom.

Mom Clare-Marie then checks their booking and invites the boys inside where she seats them at a table.

The boys can be seen thoroughly enjoying their five-star home experience and even being brought the bill.

Luckily for these little ones “dinner is on mum and dad.”
