And... breathe!
With the manic push over, it's time for some peaceful family mayhem.
Adele Hamilton, Editor Parent24 (Tammy Gardner)
The past few weeks felt like I had little spinning wheels instead of feet. Everything has been done at breakneck speed, a constant dash from exams to prizegivings, to class parties, office parties and sundry assorted end-of-year gatherings.

And now... we breathe.

In the next month I hope to:
* Nap on my bed with the wind stirring the leaves in the trees outside.
* Rustle up late breakfasts with lots of mangoes, fresh bread, orange juice and laughter.
* Challenge the kids to Scrabble, Trivial Pursuit and at least one swimming race.

We've gathered a few cunning ideas that will keep young ones busy wherever you are:

Make the holidays count
Keep your preschooler busy
Stuck in OR Tambo

Please share your favourite bits of the holiday period. We'll give the best 'What I plan for my holidays' stories an extra gift in the form of a voucher worth R250.

The Parent24 team wishes you lots of family joy for the festive season.
