Hi everyone
I’ve never really understood Halloween. Why do people WANT to get terrified out of their wits? Me, I scare easily. I have enough trouble not peeing myself when a child jumps on me in the dark... I am not going to go out of my way to imagine the same leaping kid as an Attack of the Undead.
I hate horror movies, haunted houses, ghost stories and anything with the world ‘scream’ in the title. Screaming is not fun. Fun is fun, thanks very much... and I’d rather be having that. My sons agree.
Do you? Or are you one of those odd folks who enjoy getting frightened out of your wits? And – possibly more importantly – do you think it’s good for our kids?
Nevertheless... it’s cute to see celebs in costume (cos that’s not scary) or baby Halloween costumes (very unscary). Especially after a Samhain spent at home, with a good bath and better book.
What do you do to chase away the scary moments? Or do your kids deal it with it on their own? Send us an email to chatback@parent24.com and you could win a R250 kalahari.com voucher.
Love and boo humbug,
