Here, take my shoes...
Being a parent means someone else matters more.
Adele Hamilton, Editor Parent24 (Tammy Gardner)
The pavement is tar, scorching hot.

Without a word, a mother steps out of her slip-slops and slides them over to her barefoot daughter.

They walk on, the 10-year-old happily clomping in the slightly-too-big shoes, licking an ice-cream.

It's so cool when parents do this, sacrifice a little - or a lot - without expecting anything in return.

What did you sacrifice recently? Or what did your parents sacrifice for you? We'd love to hear.

Real parents, real stories. That's what Parent24 is all about. Come share yours.
