'It's for my brother'

My 10-year-old and I are out topping up the pantry for the holidays.

He slips two lime-flavoured yoghurt drinks into the trolley. 'One for me, one for my brother,' he explains to a lady watching him.

'Don't you wish he didn't have to get the same as you?' she asks.

'No way! I'm so glad I've got a brother!'

So the bickering hasn't eroded his devotion to his older boet. I smile.
