The Silverton family couldn't be happier that they finally get to tell the world that they're adding a girl to their family of boys.

For over 100 years, the Silvertons have only given birth to boys with the last girl being born in 1913.

Jeremy Silverton and Danielle Andrews welcomed little Poppy in early September 2014. The family assumed that after a century of only having boys that their streak would continue forever.

The Times calculated that the odds of having only boys for so long was a one in 10,000 chance! Those are impressive odds to beat!

According to David, he reckons that the reason his family has produced so many boys is due to the old vibrating tractors that his family has always sat on while working. Now that tractors are smoother and less shaky, David thinks that's why they've been lucky enough to have a little girl.

Whether David's theory is true in any way or not, we're sure the Silverton family is only too glad to have broken their boy-only streak.
