IN PICS: How to answer "Is the baby here yet?"

accreditation

It's a phrase that every pregnant woman is familiar with: Is the baby here yet?

If your pregnancy goes to term, or perhaps even over, you'll be hearing this (increasingly annoying) question from all sides several times a day.

We're provided some snappy answers to keep prying (and well meaning) friends and family at bay until you can answer in the affirmative.

A good way to start is with this website:

www.haveyouhadthatbabyyet.com

The answer is clear:

NOPE

But in case that doesn't work for you, here are our favourite ways to reply to "Did you have the baby yet?":

Is the baby here yet?

"Yes, but he wasn't ready, so we put him back in."

Is the baby here yet?

"Nope, still not here yet."

Is the baby here yet?

"Wait, you thought I was pregnant? I'm not pregnant! RUDE."

Is the baby here yet?

"No baby yet."

Is the baby here yet?

"Yes, I did. And I told everyone except you."

Is the baby here yet?

"One.More.Time."

Is the baby here yet?

"Stop pestering me!"

Is the baby here yet?

"Let me know..."

In the end: "A baby is never late. Everyone else is just early."

Is the baby here yet?
