Jennifer Garner is letting her daughters, Violet and Seraphina, choose the name of their soon-to-arrive sibling.
“Our girls are working on names. At first they were definitely Disney. It was like, Donald Duck, Minnie Mouse Affleck,” she told Jay Leno on the Tonight Show. “They’re coming up with lists, and coming in and saying, ‘Let’s have a baby-naming contest! Let’s have a baby-naming poll!’” Garner, who’s due in the spring, says. “They ask everyone, cause they just want to know. But we’re not telling.”
Jennifer and Ben Affleck aren't the first celebs to let their younger kids choose a name for their sibling. Last year, Denise Richards, let her daughters choose the name of their newly adopted sister Elouise Joni Richards.
We asked our Facebook fans if they had let their kids help with picking out a name and this is what they had to say:
We tried, but Kayla wanted to call her sister Black Beauty (after the horse movie) so we decided to rather choose a name ourselves :-) - Jacqui Beytel
Hahaha, Jacqui. Reminds me of yesterday when my 3 yr old little girl told me that when I have another baby we should name her Pegasus. Think my husband and I will remain in charge of the name-giving department in our house. - Fairuz Gaibie
Jes and Tay wanted 2 call their lil brother John Cena lol but they settled on Shawn instead. - Sylvia Hutchison
Connor and Camryn named their sister - Caitlin :) - Beth Bianca Smith
My almost 3-yr-old wants to call the new baby "baby"... But she DID finally name her goldfish today; Tigger and Pooh. - Lindy Noel Diamond
Well judging by Minki's toys names (Blou, Donkie, Seuntjie) - rather not. - Sankie Botha Oosthuizen
Would you let your kids name their new sibling?
