Okay, so is birth not supposed to be something beautiful and intimate shared only with your loved ones (if they're lucky)? Apparently not.
Everyone has been so warped into the craze that is social media that we don't even realise when we're crossing the very delicate line. I've never been pregnant so I won't pretend to know what birth is like, but I imagine it to be something very private (because why would I want people to see me all sweaty with crazy hair).
If you think you've seen it all, trust me... this is only the beginning.
DJ Khaled is the latest human to venture into this sort of public display. His son, Lion, was born yesterday (well, we all know this because we saw it happen) and he streamed the entire birth on Snapchat. Was it beautiful? No. Why? Because throughout the procedure, he was talking and playing music and doing interviews with the doctors who were clearly there to help his wife and not play a part in what seemed like a reality show.

Is this the new normal?
I agree that it's the 21st century and we all need to get with the times blah blah blah... call me old-school but this is just outrageous and not something I'd like to see on my timeline. So, if you're even considering this as an option on your birth plan, make sure you've weighed up the consequences first.
Not only will the world have seen your most private parts, but once you put it out there... there's no taking it back.
