'I'm definitely going to miss being pregnant': A-Bundlely Blessed Diaries #17

Never in my wildest dreams did I think that one day I/we would have a BIG family!
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that one day I/we would have a BIG family!

And just like that we're counting down the sleeps!

I'll be 34 weeks on Friday. I still can't fathom how the time has just flown by. I still remember taking the pregnancy test and finding out that there's not just one but three heartbeats ...as if it happened yesterday!

Since I found out that we’re expecting triplets, I've always kept an open mind concerning our due date.

I didn't think we would make it this far, because most multiple mommies I've read about and follow on social media have delivered their babies much sooner than expected. But hey, look at us!

I think Nikolai is super excited to meet his siblings as he's been asking everyday how many sleeps until the babies are born... And I cannot wait to see his reaction when he sees them for the first time.

I'm due for my third and last steroid shot later this week.

Then we'll just patiently wait for the scheduled date of our c-section to roll on by. Just like Nikolai, I cannot wait to finally meet our three blessings, but I'm more excited to hold them and to see whether one of them will look like me (crossing fingers that there’s at least one mini me!).

I'm definitely going to miss being pregnant. Especially feeling our three babies move, kick and stretch all at the same time. I'm going to miss my preggy bump, measuring and documenting the growth and our journey every second week - knowing that I'm still protecting them from all things evil.

I'm also going to miss the stares and glares and random strangers coming up to me to ask about my "baby".

But what I won’t miss is the morning sickness, low energy, weight of my preggy bump, and not being able to play with Nikolai and spend time with him as I used to.

One thing I'm taking away from this pregnancy, and which I'll always treasure, is the amount of support we received from family, friends, colleagues and even people who started out as strangers. I'll be forever grateful for how well my pregnancy went, and the things this experience has taught me about myself.

Mentally I'm still wrapping my head around how our little family is going to grow from three to six people in just a matter of days! Never in my wildest dreams did I think that one day I/we would have a BIG family (LOL).

What I do know for sure is that we're ready to welcome these babies into our family and love and take care of them.

Until next time!
